Crazy About Quinoa

Quinoa (KEEN-wah) has been enjoyed for centuries in South America, and in the last 20 years has become very popular and even trendy here in the US.

Technically quinoa is an edible seed.  It is often used in place of rice in a stir-fry meal, added to cold salads, or even used to coat chicken or fish nuggets.  Quinoa can come in many different colors, such as white, red, black, or tri-colored.
